About the Client
From small beginnings 30 years ago, Farmer Autovillage has become a distinctive landmark. It’s also the first stop for many motorists seeking a quality vehicle backed by award-winning service.
Farmer Autovillage began as Bay Nissan in 1991 with a team of 12 in the city of Tauranga, New Zealand. Fast forward 30 years later, with a rebrand to Farmer Autovillage in 2008 and a relocation to a full city block. They now employ a team of 170, and retail 13 quality vehicle brands with 600 vehicles under one roof.
Farmer Autovillage houses 12 new car brands across two locations, including 150+ used cars.
The Solution
Anniversary Logo Design
For the logo design itself, the client had an idea in mind of what they required. The logo needed to incorporate the company colours, and the client also wanted to add a touch of gold to the design.
The number 30 was designed using a round geometric style typeface, representing wheels on a car. The 3 and the 0 were designed to be interlocking to keep the numbers together. There was space left to add the word “years” between the 0, and 1991/2021 inside the 3, tying the design together.
The 30 logo needed to sit above the Farmer Autovillage logo and balance alongside it.
Additional Elements
The anniversary logo design was to be applied to many items, on signage around the building, as well as being added to printed collateral.
I put together some sample designs to show how it would look when applied to various elements.
