Beach Wedding Stationery Design
The Brief
To design a wedding stationery suite reflecting the beach/coastal nature of the venue.
The wedding venue was Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon. It is a uniquely designed coastal wedding venue – accessed via a hand-carved tunnel through the cliff and with its own private beach.

The Solution
Beach Wedding Invitation Design
The invitations were designed to be A5 double-sided and were to be printed on a textured card.
The client really liked the design of the signage at the venue and wanted to use that in some way to form the invitation design. The front of the wedding invitation was based on the signage at the venue, incorporating the typographic elements of the sign into the details of the invite.
A background to hold the design together was required. Therefore, blue stripes were added to the design, reflecting the fabric used on striped deckchairs.
The reverse of the invitation was a pure typographic design, which was a fun one to work with.
Beach RSVP Design
The Victorian theme of the venue was used when designing the RSVP cards.
The design was based on an old postcard of Ilfracombe, replicating the front entirely. The reverse of the RSVP included the RSVP options, as well as the client’s address, all ready for the guests to complete and return.
Beach Wedding Stationery Suite
Alongside the beach wedding invitations and RSVP cards, the client required table names, place names, a menu and a seating chart to be designed.
The design from the front of the wedding invitations was used for these elements, keeping the whole suite looking like one group.
