Campervan Wedding Stationery Design
The Brief
To design a set of wedding stationery featuring a classic Volkswagen campervan. The wedding was to be held at Northcote Manor in the UK, and a classic Volkswagen campervan was going to be the transport to the venue.
The Client
Frankie and Clive Jones
The Solution
Campervan Wedding Invitation Design
The client had seen a graphic of a hand-drawn campervan they wanted to use. This was re-drawn using Adobe Illustrator. While re-drawing the front, I decided to draw the reverse of the campervan for the back page of the invitation.
The invitations were designed to be a square booklet, using a cream pearlised card for the outer, and a paper insert glued to the card. The numberplate was created to show the couples’ names and adhered using a felt pad to give a 3-dimensional effect.
I also added a purple heart and stars around the campervan, to give extra elements to the design. The client wanted to use a hand-drawn font for the invitations, to create a laid-back feel to them. This also gave them a fun vibe.
Campervan Information Insert Design
The client required an information insert to be designed with the wedding invitations. This would feature details of their gift list, contact details and information about the venue.
I incorporated the campervan graphic into this, to tie in with the invitation design.
Campervan Theme Wedding Stationery Suite
The client required table names, place names, a menu and a seating plan to be designed.
The campervan became the couples icon/logo for the rest of the stationery.
I also designed a thank you card for the couple, and the campervan formed the front of the thank you card.
